Jason Lee Garcia is a 2019 LHP/OF with a 5-9 160 lb. frame from Miami, FL who attends Miami Christian HS. Recorded a 7.46 second 60-yard dash time. Athletic, young frame with room to fill out and add strength to the build. Primary lefthanded pitcher with a deliberate and fluid windup. Clean break out of the glove with a smooth and clean arm circle through the back. Longer arm action and filled up the done repeatedly. Consistently working in the lower third of the strike zone and creating a lot of weak ground ball contact. Breaking ball had 11/5 shape with good spin and started out on a similar plane as the fastball. Confidence in the pitch and can throw it in any count. Mixed in a cutter or changeup as well that showed potential. Good tempo and solid pitchability. Secondary outfielder with smooth actions and arm strength recorded up to 78 mph. Gets out front with good extension. Ball comes out of the hand cleanly. Switch hitter with a wide base and a high hand set with a high back elbow. Linear swing plane with similar swings from both sides. Better barrel control from the right side. Tremendous student.
