Carson Balthazar is a 2018 OF/C with a 5-11 157 lb. frame from Greenwell Springs, LA who attends Central HS. Athletic frame with room to add on additional strength physically as he matures. From the outfield, runs well covering solid ground. Throws from a lower 3/4 arm slot and is aggressive through the baseball. May see additional velocity as he develops a higher arm slot from the outfield. At the plate, right-handed hitter that starts with a wide base and a small leg lift trigger. Short compact swing that is direct to the baseball. Does a nice job of spraying the baseball to all fields. More consistent loud contact to come with further use of the lower half. Good student.
