Henry Goodier is a 2019 C with a 5-9 210 lb. frame from Chadds Ford, PA who attends Unionville High School. Medium, broad shouldered build with present strength proportioned throughout frame. Primary catcher, begins with a lower set behind the plate and receives the ball out front, looks to be quick with actions and gets to a tight arm action, works on top of throws and shows accuracy, upper body dominant release but does gain short ground, can continue to incorporate additional footwork into release. Righthanded hitter, begins with a slightly open stance and a hand set away from body. Subtle weight shift through lower half, loads hands and swings with intent while showing looseness. Occasionally gets to front side early, stays compact through the zone and shows carry off the barrel with back spin when squared, can go to all fields with barreled contact. Good student.
