Jake Garland is a 2019 RHP/1B with a 6-4 225 lb. frame from Jupiter, FL who attends Jupiter HS. Big and thick build with good present strength. Leg tuck delivery, has a loose and flexible lower half, medium arm circle, pretty low effort release and the ball leaves his hand easily. Upper 80's fastball, mostly straight, has been up to 92 mph at previous PG events, works his fastball to the bottom of the zone consistently. Curveball is his best pitch, throws it hard with tight spin and sharp 11/5 biting action, has very good feel for his curveball and will throw it at all points in the count. Developing change up. Good student, verbal commitment to Miami.
