Reed Sexton is a 2017 3B/1B, C with a 6-0 165 lb. frame from Dubach, LA who attends Ruston HS. Room to fill in his long, slender build. Solid transfer and release on the infield with good carry and accuracy on throws across. Will see stronger actions and carry on throws as he continues development with the lower half. At the plate, starts with a slightly open upright stance with a wide base. Good looseness in hands generating good bat speed. Short compact swing that showed hard pull side contact. Swing produces some natural lift and a lot of balls hit to the outfield. More consistent contact and power to all fields as he continues to develop timing mechanism off his leg lift trigger. Excellent student.
