Sami Baig is a 2016 OF with a 6-0 170 lb. frame from Reno, NV who attends Galena HS. Lean athletic build, plenty of room to get stronger, young broad shouldered look. 6.64 runner, moves well in the outfield with sound fundamentals and a quick release on his throws, gets on top of his throws well and is very accurate, has the tools to play centerfield. Right handed hitter, moves into contact with a short stride, can use hips and lower half better to help generate bat speed, short inside swing path, comes at the ball from on top and stays tall through contact, spray line drive contact. Outstanding student, has no college commitment at present.
