2022 National Indoor Showcase (Saturday)
Dennis Jakubik is a 2022 LHP/OF with a 6-4 205 lb. frame from Saint Louis, MO who attends St. Louis University HS. Big and strong athletic build with room to get stronger. Long and deep arm action in back, slow paced well controlled delivery, stays balanced and in line well, repeats his mechanics well. Fastball topped out at 87 mph, gets lots of late life, consistent cutting action with occasional hard sink as well. Curveball was a solid second pitch for him once he settled down, good arm speed and power on the pitch with big sweeping shape, gets good tilt and some bite. Maintained his stuff well and improved his command throughout his outing. Left handed hitter, hits from a flexed knee upright stance, busy barrel load, has a short stroke for his size and good strength at contact, simple high contact swing with quality bat speed. Plays the outfield when not on the mound. Very good student. Uncommitted senior with obvious next level tools. Named to the National Indoor Showcase Top Prospect List.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
