Greg Laxton is a 2017 C/UT with a 5-11 170 lb. frame from Durham, NC who attends C E Jordan High School. Medium build and frame with athleticism and room to continue to fill out. Posted a 7.40 time in the 60 yard dash. Primary catcher, developing arm strength and catch and throw actions with a best pop time of 2.07. Also worked out from the outfield, moved well to the ball with a long gather from a three quarter arm slot with some accuracy. At the plate, started with an open hand set and a high hand set and back elbow. Longer swing path with inconsistent plane that works primarily from his upper-half. Would see improvement with lower half drive and added strength. Exceptional student.
