Logan Boughton is a 2020 SS/RHP with a 5-7 140 lb. frame from Florissant, MO. Young, medium build with square shoulders and a lean, projectable build with room to fill throughout moving forward. Primary middle infielder, fields the ball out front and funnels into body, hands play out front, short steps to either side, clean transfer out of the glove with sound release from a lower three-quarters arm slot, shows footwork and will continue to develop, accurate throws across diamond. Also pitched, small leg lift at start of delivery, short and on line stride with lower half, compact arm action through the back working to a high three-quarters arm slot. Shows cut action to fastball, topped out at 71 mph, slight cross-body finish, shows 11-5 shape to breaking ball at 64 mph. Righthanded hitter, begins with a closed stance and shows a short hand load at start of swing. Stays inside the ball with hand path and shows a line drive swing plane, full through the zone with extension out front. Shows ability to create line drive contact when balanced and on time with balance, works the middle of the field, projects with additional strength.
