Tyler Benton is a 2018 RHP/SS with a 6-0 170 lb. frame from Dacula, GA who attends Dacula HS. Recorded a 6.76 60-yard dash. Medium, lean frame with room to add strength to the frame. Primary pitcher with a short arm action and a short am path. Fastball topped out at 83 mph and he showed the ability to manipulate the pitch. Nothing was straight out of the hand and the life on his pitches allowed for weak contact. Very good command to the arm side and displayed multiple breaking balls. Arm strength up to 86 mph from the outfield. Full arm action through the back and throws were online. Shifts weight well into contact at the plate with a very simple approach. Good student.
