Luke Marsh is a 2022 OF/C with a 5-7 150 lb. frame from Lebanon, OH who attends Lebanon. Medium frame with a lean build. Projects for additional strength. Primary outfielder with aggressive footwork while closing to and working through the baseball. Funnels off to side and maintained momentum towards the bag. Released from a three-quarters arm slot generating on line carry to the bag at 75 mph. Also worked out defensively from behind the plate showing a low, even stance while receiving the baseball. Gains minimal ground towards the bag with very quick footwork out of crouch. Compact glove circle at exchange and released from a three-quarters slot. Throws produced some on line carry to the bag topping at 69 mph, best workout pop time of 2.08. Right handed hitter with a crouched, even stance and simple front side trigger. Created some linear shift into contact with lower half. Clean hand path to baseball with a slightly lifted barrel plane through extension. Flashed good hand quickness through the zone with the ability to control the bat head. Consistently worked to the middle of the field but showed the barrel feel to work the other way as well. Excellent student.
