Collin Lovell is a 2018 SS with a 5-10 160 lb. frame from McDonald, TN who attends Silverdale Baptist Academy. Slender young build, athletic look, plenty of room and time to get stronger. 7.45 runner, moves well to the ball defensively, makes accurate throws but decelerates his arm through release, young raw arm strength. Left handed hitter, wide base with an exaggerated inside hand path, tends to be late starting his hands forward, opposite field contact, will need adjustments in his swing approach to take the next step forward. Also pitched, low effort directional delivery, fastball topped out at 71 mph, big slow curveball, threw strikes and had a quick inning. Good student.
