Nick Woodward is a 2018 SS/IF/RHP with a 5-10 180 lb. frame from Sammamish, WA who attends IMG Academy. Medium build and frame, athleticism, and room to continue to fill out physically and add strength. Posted a 7.48 time in the 60 yard dash. Primary shortstop, fielded the ball out front and moved well up the middle. Showed a clean release on the move and developing arm strength. At the plate, started with a very wide base, open stance, deep hand set away from body, and a deeper weight shift. Longer swing path with best contact coming to pull side. Will develop power with additional strength and simplified swing.
