Carlos Torres is a 2016 RHP with a 6-1 185 lb. frame from Valencia, MI who is home schooled. Athletic build with square shoulders and some present strength, young look and has some projection. Pretty simple delivery mechanics with good pace and direction, arm is loose from a tight 3/4's arm slot. Fastball topped out at 88 mph, gets good sinking and running life and keeps the pitch down in the zone, generated ground balls with his fastball, showed the ability to pitch inside to right handed hitters with intent. Flashes good spin on a low 70's curveball, tends to lower his elbow and get under the pitch at times. Change up had good arm speed and fading action to it. Repeats his delivery well on fastball and change up and pounds the strike zone.
