Johnathan Rodriguez is a 2017 OF with a 6-3 180 lb. frame from Toa Baja, PR who attends Carlos Beltran Baseball Academy. Long and lean athletic build, some present strength lots more to come. 6.93 runner, has outstanding raw arm strength from the outfield, throws easy with good footwork, works through the ball, very loose and easy arm, may be throwing 100+ when he matures physically. Switch-hitter in the past, only hit right handed at this event. Hits from an open stance with an active hand load, fires his hips hard and occasionally gets off balance, ball explodes off the barrel when he's timed up with easy raw power, getting timed up will be the issue as the bat speed is there. Raw skilled player who recently reclassified from the 2018 class but the tools are huge.
