Ryan McCrystal is a 2021 C/RHP, 1B, 3B with a 6-1 180 lb. frame from Fuquay Varina, NC who attends Fuquay-Varina. Large frame with solid, athletic present build; ran 60 yard dash in 7.54 seconds. Hits from slightly open stance, a bit spread, good bat speed, wraps barrel behind head into load, clean launch, wants to do damage to the middle of the field, showed solid raw power into gaps, projects for more. Worked out behind the plate, side-saddle set, stands up into reception, throws downhill with good arm strength, quick release, clocked up to 78 mph. Also pitched, quick plunge into stab, gets offline through back with back elbow creeping high, fastball worked 80-86 mph, threw some strikes, showed slurvy curveball with some bite to it. Named to 2018 Atlantic Coast Showcase Top Prospect List, excellent student.
