Drew Bump is a 2018 RHP/3B with a 6-3 205 lb. frame from Carver, MN who attends Chanhassen. Large frame with long limbs and an athletic build. Projects for additional size with strength. Primary right handed pitcher with a side step to medium leg lift delivery. Stays balanced at gather with a slight pause before separation. Released from a compact, high three-quarters arm slot. Showed good arm quickness with fastball offering topping at 86 miles per hour. Consistently filled the zone with fastball flashing good command to the outside edge. Curveball had 11/5 shape with tight rotation and late depth. Flashed good feel for curveball offering with the ability to throw for strike in positive and negative counts. Aggressively attacked the strike zone while inducing weak ground ball contact throughout each inning of work. Named to the 2017 Spring Top Prospect Showcase-Top Prospect List.
