Omar Alvarez is a 2018 RHP with a 6-1 160 lb. frame from Bayamon, PR who attends Colegio Nuestra Senora De Belen. Slender young build, lots of room to get stronger. Side step delivery, low elbow arm action and release, can improve extension and leverage at release, 3/4's release slot, works very quickly. Fastball topped out at 74 mph, mostly straight with occasional riding action when up arm side, threw to mid-plate and got hitters to swing the bats. Soft curveball with a hump backed break. Good student.
