Cameron Hubbard is a 2019 OF/2B with a 5-11 165 lb. frame from Easton, PA who attends Easton Area. Medium frame with an athletic build. Very projectable body with promise of additional size with strength. Right handed hitter with a slight open, narrow stance and leg lift trigger. Loads top half to a slightly coiled position while creating torque. Hands explode to contact with a naturally lifted swing plane. Works well behind the baseball with present gap to gap power. Very balanced throughout with and was constantly hitting rising line drives all over the field. Very projectable swing for the next level. Worked out defensively from the outfield and infield. From the outfield shows solid athletic actions while closing on baseball. Flashes some arm quickness with the promise to develop more with maturity, topped at 75 mph from the outfield. Throws over front side well that creates some on line carry with accuracy. From the infield shows a lower arm slot with a high energy release. Fields the baseball out front smooth funneling glove actions. Deliberate gather and transition while building to make strong throws across. Works behind groundballs well up the middle with short, athletic actions on slow rollers. Strong skill set for age and will continue to develop with physical maturity. Good follow. Very good student.
