2015 Caribbean Top Prospect Showcase
Ricardo J. Cardona is a 2016 OF/1B with a 6-3 190 lb. frame from San Sebastian, PR who attends Patria Latorre Ramirez HS. Large athletic build, good present strength with room for more. Runs very well for his size, 6.81 in the sixty, had young footwork and fundamentals in the outfield, limited arm strength, likely defensive future at first base. Right handed hitter, strength driven swing, short to the ball and showed the ability to drive it both to the pull side and to right center field, rotational upper body swing, stayed back well and recognized breaking balls, should keep improving offensively. Good student.
