Cole Buckner is a 2020 1B/RHP, 3B with a 6-1 195 lb. frame from St Louis, MO who attends Gibault Catholic. Extra large build with broad shoulders and strength throughout. Ran an 8.55 second 60-yard dash. Worked out defensively as a primary first baseman. Moves well around the bag while fielding out front with clean actions. Has some quickness in release on throws topping out at 72 miles per hour. Stays accurate when throwing across the field. Righthanded hitter with narrow stance to start. Utilizes a lean back load into a high leg lift trigger for timing. Creates some natural leverage through contact when on time. Longer path to contact with a line drive path. Middle of the field approach with some jump when impacting the ball out front. Secondary righthanded pitcher with an easy delivery. Small rocker step into high leg lift. Short arm action in back into a three-quarter slot. Sinking arm side life on the fastball at 76 miles per hour. True 12-to-6 curveball with average and was able to generate weak ground ball contact. Very good student as well.
