William Roguske is a 2019 C/RHP, 1B, 3B with a 6-2 185 lb. frame from Belgrade, MN who attends New London-Spicer Sr. Large frame with long limbs and an athletic build. Frame projects for additional strength while maintaining athleticism. Primary catcher with a slow, side set stance while receiving. Gains ground and worked through exchange with quick, clean transfers. Released from a compact three-quarters slot and created some tail to the bag, topped at 75 miles per hour. Best workout pop time of 2.05. Also worked out defensively from the infield showing clean footwork while surrounding the baseball. Fundamental glove actions while funneling and working through exchange. Created good momentum while releasing from a three-quarters slot. Throws generated stiff carry to the bag topping at 89 miles per hour. Right handed hitter with an upright, slightly open stance and high back elbow set. Creates some linear shift into contact with lower half. Direct hand path to baseball with a slightly lifted barrel plane through extension. Showed present bat speed and utilized a gap to gap approach. Ball jumped off the barrel well when squared. Also pitched utilizing a simple side step to medium leg lift delivery. Stays flexed on back side at gather and works to the plate with drop and drive actions. Lands in line with the plate and carries momentum to glove side at finish. Deep arm circle at take back and released from a high three-quarters slot. Fastball generated good downhill angle through the zone with heavy run to arm side in the low to mid 80's, topped at 86 miles per hour. Curveball had 11/5 shape with loose spin and occasional depth in the low 70's. Maintained arm speed with a changeup offering that flashed slight wiggle in the mid 70's. Looked to fill the zone and showed developing feel to each edge of the plate. Excellent student. Named to the 2017 Midwest Underclass Showcase, Top Prospect List.
