Janiel A Hernandez is a 2021 LHP/ with a 5-11 175 lb. frame from Aguadilla, PR who attends Puerto Rico Baseball Academy. Medium height with a wiry frame and high waist, athletic build. Slow and controlled operation with a balanced leg lift and a short and quick arm stroke. Over the top release with some shoulder quickness, some natural cut to the fastball and located mostly away. Used the fastball primarily but flashed a sweeping slider that has bigger break. The body and arm action project for good velocity gains as he physically matures. Good student.
