Nicholas Jaeggin is a 2018 SS/RHP with a 5-8 165 lb. frame from Oakville, ON who attends Oakville Trafalgar HS. Recorded a 7.06 60-yard dash. Smaller, lean frame with room to add strength and size. Primary shortstop who showed a solid gather and pickup into the throw. Good footwork upon release and showed smooth, athletic actions at the position. Arm strength was pretty solid and registered up to 84 mph across the diamond. Good rhythm and pace to his delivery on the mound. Long arm action and showed quick arm speed. Showed the ability to make adjustments and mixed in two breaking pitches. Slider showed sharp spin and tilt with a quality 12/6 curveball as well; should incorporate breaking pitches into repertoire more often. Open, narrow stance at the plate. Low hand set and handles the barrel well. Showed extension through the point of contact with a compact swing path. Great student.
