Logan King is a 2019 RHP/3B with a 6-2 175 lb. frame from Sterling Hgts, MI who attends University Liggett. Large frame with a lean, athletic build. Projects for additional size with strength. Ran a 7.18 sixty yard dash. Primary right handed pitcher, creates slight hook in back of arm circle with slight wrist wrap. Gets downhill well with lower half producing good direction to the plate. Shows good arm speed through extension from a high three-quarters slot. Fastball has four-seam action with good feel to both sides of the plate topping at 79 mph. Curveball has sharp bite from the same arm slot as fastball, proves to be very deceptive to hitter. Flashed a straight changeup in the low 70's that had occasional sinking action. Also worked out defensively from the infield. Shows fundamental footwork while surrounding the baseball. Clean glove skills with developing fluidity. Releases from a taller throwing position with a three-quarters slot topping at 72 mph. Right handed hitter with a slightly open stance and leg lift trigger. Shows a linear plane to contact the creates some bat speed through extension. Consistently squared the baseball cleanly on a line between the gaps. Flashed solid barrel control throughout the zone as well in game play. Solid two way prospect that will continue to develop with maturity. Good student. Named to 2016 Great Lakes Showcase Top Prospect List.
