Preston Shemansky is a 2023 SS/RHP, 2B, OF with a 6-0 156 lb. frame from Naples, FL who attends First Baptist Academy. Recorded a 7.88 second 60-yard dash time. Young, athletic build with a wiry frame and room to add strength. Primary shortstop with active feet and gets rid of the ball quickly. Very athletic on the run with body control and quality arm strength recorded up to 85 mph. Arm strength also plays from secondary position of outfield. Secondary righthanded pitcher with a simple side step into a belt high leg kick. Short, quick arm stroke and throws from a high three-quarters arm slot. Fastball generates a good amount of run with some feel for spin on an 11/5 curveball. Righthanded hitter with a high hand set, high back elbow, and a big leg kick. Works to the middle of the field with good feel for contact. Bat stays through the zone on a level swing plane. Great student.
