Justen Newsom is a 2022 OF/3B with a 6-3 180 lb. frame from Kennesaw, GA who attends Harrison. Long and lean athletic build with lots of room to fill in and get stronger. Outstanding runner, 6.56 in the sixty. Has athletic actions in the outfield on defense, comes and gets the ball aggressively with good body control and a fluid transition from fielding to throwing, long and loose arm action has some projection to it. Right handed hitter, uses his lower half well to move into contact and generate bat speed, good timing and flow into his swing, short swing with consistent pull line drive contact, has more bat speed and power in there with better extension through contact. Excellent student. Named to the Summer Main Event Showcase Top Prospect List.
