2005 Unsigned Seniors Showcase
Flores is a 6-0, 180 lb corner infielder from California with good present strength and physical maturity. Flores ran the 60 in 7.45 on the slow wet track and showed college level arm strength throwing 83 mph across the infield. Flores had some of the smoother infield actions of any player at the Unsigned Showcase, with soft hands and good range, especially to his right. He also plays first base in addition to third base but his skills and tools look good at third for the college level. At the plate, Flores hits out of a tall stance with little stride or trigger to get the bat going. He rotates through the ball to help generate bat speed and can drive the ball on contact and reach the alleys. Some mechanical adjustments could help Flores as a hitter as he has some excellent natural ability and strength. He's a player to watch.
