Carson Tidwell is a 2024 C/OF with a 6-2 170 lb. frame from Longview, TX who attends Spring Hill. Nice young athletic build with lots of physical projection and strength ahead of him. Right handed hitter, hits from a spread bent knee stance, sinks down into his hips to start his swing, rotational upper body swing with some extension and lift out front, has some strength in his hands for a freshman and can get some carry, can improve his lower half actions and approach to take advantage of his leverage and future strength. 7.45 runner in the sixty. Primary catcher, sets up a bit high behind the plate, straight back set up, receives the ball out front, compact arm action with developing arm strength. Also plays the outfield. Good student.
