Ernest Escamilla is a 2023 3B/C with a 5-10 150 lb. frame from Tomball, TX who attends Klein Oak. Smaller young build with plenty of time and room to get stronger. Right handed hitter, hits from a tall open stance with a simple hand load and shift into contact, has quick hands and a short and direct swing, excellent base hitting fundamentals for his age, has a swing that repeats and will barrel up balls, will keep improving with additional strength. Same type of strong fundamental base to his defensive actions, smooth footwork and balanced actions, makes accurate throws with quick exchange. Will need to continue to work on his overall athleticism and strength but the skills are there. Good student.
