Paul Torrez Jr. is a 2020 C/2B with a 5-8 170 lb. frame from Fontana, CA who attends Etiwanda. Medium frame with slender, athletic build; ran 60 yard dash in 7.30 seconds. Hits from narrow-based, closed-off stance, simple compact stroke, inside path with hands, good bat-to-ball skills, accurate barrel, showed ability to get the head out in game play, has some extra-base pop. Worked out behind the plate, good balance to set and movement patterns, gets out of crouch quickly and has quickness to footwork, quick release, clocked up to 74 mph on throws. Good student.
