Gavin Ruegger is a 2023 OF/LHP, 1B with a 5-10 155 lb. frame from Roswell, GA who attends Lassiter. Medium and athletic frame with present strength already. Ran a 7.03 second 60 yard dash. Primary outfielder, easy and smooth footwork with a playable glove, average arm strength up to 78 mph from the position. Secondary left-handed pitcher, even tempo windup from the third base side of the rubber, creates angle, takes his arm back to a compact arm action, hides the ball well through the back, fastball topped out at 74 mph with occasional cutting action down in the zone, mixes in a developing curveball in the low-60s. Right-handed hitter, even stance with a high back elbow, takes a short stride into contact, long swing plane and gets the head out in front, young feel for the barrel at present. Great student.
