Slade St. Clair is a 2024 2B/RHP/SS with a 5-8 145 lb. frame from Sand Rock, AL who attends Sand Rock. Young athletic build. 7.55 runner in the sixty. Primary second baseman on defense, has good fundamentals on the direct and fields the ball cleanly, feet work well through and around the ball, changes his arm slot well and plays under control. Also played some outfield in the games and made two spectacular catches, one going straight back, the other on a full dive across the foul line to highlight his athleticism and glove ability. Left handed hitter, same type of strong fundamental base that he shows on defense, is well balanced and well timed and gets the barrel into the zone on time, line drive swing path with good extension out front, releases his back side well, will continue to improve as a hitter with additional strength. Also pitched, works from a slow paced rotational delivery with a 3/4's arm slot. Fastball topped out at 75 mph, got nice spin on a 65 mph curveball and threw strikes with both pitches during an effective inning. Good student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
