Evan Pogue is a 2019 C with a 6-2 170 lb. frame from Scottsdale, AZ who attends Desert Mountain HS. Medium frame with slender, projectable build; ran 60 yard dash in 7.32 seconds. Hits from wide-spread stance with high hands and back elbow, direct path with hands, upper half-oriented swing, shows barrel skills with middle-pull approach, will improve with increased strength. Worked out behind the plate, extreme side-saddle set, efficient footwork out of crouch, gets off quick release on throws, clocked up to 70 mph with good accuracy to the bag. Excellent student.
