William Carlisle is a 2019 RHP/UT with a 5-10 175 lb. frame from Coventry, CT who attends Westminster. Medium frame with a solid build. Primary right handed pitcher who worked exclusively from the stretch. Medium leg lift and stays balanced at gather. Worked to the plate with drop and drive lower half actions. Quick arm circle at take back and released from a three-quarters slot. Tends to release from a taller position. Fastball flashed some natural cut to glove side in the upper 60's to low 70's, topped at 73 miles per hour. Also flashed the ability to drop to a low three-quarters slot with fastball offering to change looks. Tends to slow arm speed slightly with a curveball offering that showed 10/5 shape with loose spin and occasional depth. Also worked out defensively from first base showing smooth paced footwork while centering the baseball. Funnels cleanly and worked through exchange with developing fluidity. Loose arm action while throwing across the infield topping at 68 miles per hour. Right handed hitter with a slightly crouched, even stance and simple front side trigger. Works to contact with some linear lower half actions. Loose, extended hand path to contact with an uphill barrel plane through extension. Tends to hit of a tall front side while looking to connect with baseball out front. Displayed developing feel for the barrel while employing a mid field approach. Good student.
