Nick Lanning is a 2023 RHP/3B/OF with a 6-4 195 lb. frame from Peachtree Corners, GA who attends Norcross. Nice young pitcher's body with plenty of length and some young strength, very projectable. Multi-piece delivery with stops and starts, high leg raise over the rubber, high 3/4's arm slot with a full and deep arm action, arm is loose and fast coming through. Fastball worked up to 83 mph with good running life when down in the zone, has been up to 86-87 at numerous PG tournaments this summer. Change up was his best secondary pitch this outing, flashes nice sink and fade with thrown with conviction, still developing confidence and arm speed on his curveball. 7.32 runner in the sixty, showed his arm strength well in the outfield. Right handed hitter, big leg raise trigger to his swing, has some hand strength and is pretty short direct to the ball for his size and strength, gets the ball in the air consistently, projects power in the future. Good student. Named to the Summer Main Event Showcase Top Prospect List.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
