Garrett Hayes is a 2024 OF/RHP, MIF with a 6-0 195 lb. frame from Tyler, TX who attends Whitehouse. A medium frame with some length. High-waisted with some strength showing in the athletic build. Ran a 6.79 60-yard dash. Primary outfielder who had a clean gather as he used the glove to make the picks and work into the throw. He releases it and threw 82 mph from the outfield during his round of defensive reps. Also worked out from the infield, being high-waisted with a loose arm, keeping throws on target. Made the outs getting the ball to first with some quickness. Threw 83 mph across the diamond during his reps in the infield. A left-handed hitter with an even base and really quick hands, and good turns through the swing. He worked mostly pull-side during his rounds of BP and was able to drive the ball well. The lower half had some strength and was shown as he rotated hard through contact. He gets his hands deep as he loads and then strides inward. Produced an 89 mph exit velocity during BP. Picked up a couple of base hits during the games as well. Also took to the mound as a right-handed pitcher. Has a slight turn backward toward second at the top of his delivery, but gets down the mound and is able to throw strikes. He had some arm speed and hid the ball well through the pitching motion, from a three-quarters arm slot. Has a handset around the belt and stays there through the break. He was efficient and pounded the zone during his outing. Fastball was up to 83 mph and worked 79-83 mph with good command of it. Has a breaking ball in the upper-60s with bigger shape and some depth. Struck out 2 opposing hitters over 2 2/3 innings of scoreless work.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
