Lane Grayson is a 2022 LHP/1B with a 6-0 200 lb. frame from Cumming, GA who attends Denmark. Strong athletic build. Has a well controlled delivery on the mound with an extended 3/4's arm slot, will drop down to true sidearm at times, repeats his lower half mechanics well with good directional drive down the mound. Fastball worked in the upper 70's from both arm slots, gets good running life on his sidearm fastball, works to the glove side mostly with his fastball. Threw both a curveball and slider, curveball is his go to pitch that has nice shape and depth when he maintains his arm speed. Also threw a change up, most successful when he is mixing. Only throws fastballs from the lower slot and should develop a breaking ball from there so as not to tip his pitches. 7.70 runner in the sixty. Plays first base when not on the mound, has athletic actions there with good body control and balance along with a quick release on his throws. Right handed hitter, hits from a straight stance with a rock in load and a still hand start, line drive swing plane with a gap to gap approach. Good student.
