Elgin Bennett is a 2022 OF/LHP with a 6-0 181 lb. frame from Fayetteville, GA who attends Woodward Academy. Nice athletic build with plenty of room to get stronger. Elite level runner, 6.14 in the sixty. Centerfield tools on defense, quick and aggressive to the ball with athletic actions through his throws, quick release, has some carry on his throws. Left handed hitter, hits from a wide base with an easy and fluid swing, gets lots of separation and flashes pull power, not consistent yet in his timing and swing path but has the twitch and bat speed to continue to develop as a hitter. Good student, verbal commitment to Illinois.
