Jake Butterfield is a 2025 1B/RHP/3B with a 6-2 155 lb. frame from Jenks, OK who attends Victory Christian School. Long and lean athletic build, very projectable physically. Primary first baseman but is a solid two-way prospect as a pitcher as well. Right handed hitter, hits from a tall and open stance with a wrapped barrel start, upper body driven swing with some leverage at contact from his length, has an accurate barrel and was consistently on time, projects as a hitter with strength and time. 7.86 runner in the sixty. Has athletic actions at first base with quick hands and good footwork, plenty of athleticism and tools to play corner outfield in the future. Has a simple and fluid delivery on the mound with very good direction to release, low energy mechanics that he repeats very well. Fastball topped out at 77 mph, mostly straight but thrown very consistently for strikes, probably threw 80% fastball strikes for two innings. Tends to drop his arm slot on his curveball and slow his arm but throws strikes with that pitch as well. Lots of promise on both sides of the ball. Excellent student. Named to the 13U/14U Sunshine Midwest Showcase Top Prospect List.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
