2018 National Underclass Showcase-Main Event
Joey Pourron is a 2020 RHP/OF with a 6-3 175 lb. frame from McDonough, GA who attends Union Grove. Big athletic build, lots of physical projection remaining. Long multi-part delivery but holds it together well and repeats for the most part, mid 3/4's arm action. Consistent mid-80's fastball, topped out at 85 mph, showed nasty two-seam sinking life at times, ball comes out of his hand easily and projects for plenty more velocity in the future. Potential two-way prospect. Right handed hitter, hits from a side base with some lower half shift, has strength in his swing, long and strong swing that can drive the ball, squared up well. 7.27 runner, moves to the ball athletically in the outfield with a long and loose arm stroke and plenty of raw arm strength with on line carry.
