Brandon Martin is a 2024 2B/SS with a 5-3 100 lb. frame from Opelika, AL who attends Lee Scott Academy. Small and young frame with time to continue to fill out physically. Ran an 8.49 second 60 yard dash. Primary second baseman, moved to the ball during infield drills with short steps, breaks down at gather and fields the ball out in front cleanly, releases from a low arm slot and has developing arm strength, actions play best at his primary second base position. Also pitched, simple side step delivery up to a leg lift above his belt line, young arm speed through the back, pitches to contact and keeps the ball down in the strike zone. Righthanded hitter, sets up with a spread out stance, loads onto his backside well, swings with intent starting with a toe tap trigger for timing, shifts weight and has a mechanically sound stroke, additional strength will improve pop off of the barrel as he continues to mature.
