2023 Carolina Top Prospect Games (Tues-Wed)
Addison Rowland is a 2026 C/RHP/MIF with a 6-2 169 lb. frame from Fort Mill, SC who attends Legion Collegiate Academy. Medium frame with a taller lean build and plenty of time and room to add more muscularity. High end foot speed, running the 60 yard dash in 6.58 seconds. Primary position C, starting a bit offset but sitting good in his base. Quick feet as he replaces his feet directly put him in good posture to throw. Quick midline transfer with clean mechanics. Arm really plays with solid carry and accuracy as he showed throws up to 78 mph and pop time best 1.88 seconds. Secondary RHP, starting offset and using the full windup from the 1B side of the rubber. Works fast, attacking hitters in the strike zone. Abbreviated leg lift and hand break at the belly into shallow arm path before accelerating into a 3/4 arm angle. Turns well in the core and the ball jumps out of his hand pretty well. Fastball up to 82 mph with some ride. Slider profiles well in the mid-70s with above average spin traits. Definitely projects well here. Reps on the infield as well, less refined here but making plays and once again the arm showed out. Up to 85 mph across the diamond. Handled the slow roller quite well, showing his athleticism. RHH starting wider with high hands and a bit of a wrapped barrel. Hand speed is elite and when he let the ball travel and that's when we saw his best impact. Middle of the field approach will really benefit and allow him to maximize his offensive skill set. Intriguing two-way guy here with a lot ahead of him, very good follow in the short term. Outstanding student.
