LATEST PG SHOWCASE REPORT
2019 National Uncommitted Showcase (2020 Grads)
Jack Davis is a 2020 C/1B with a 6-4 178 lb. frame from Lilburn, GA who attends Parkview. Tall and slender young build with lots of room to get stronger, especially tall for a primary catcher. 7.13 runner, has run down to a 6.83 at PG showcases in the past, has predictably long actions behind the plate defensive, long arm stroke out of the glove, 1.94 best pop time, got rid of the ball quickly and cleanly in the games and made accurate throws. Also played first base and his athleticism played very well there, picks the ball with soft hands and spins well on his throws. Right handed hitter, hits from a very spread stance with a rock back load and limited lower half shift, flashes leverage when he gets the barrel out front but has more of a short mid to oppo approach right now. Projectable athlete who should continue to improve as he gets stronger. Good student.
