Walter Allen is a 2024 2B/C with a 5-9 140 lb. frame from McColl, SC who attends Marlboro County. Long and slender build with broad shoulders and plenty of room to fill out. Ran a 7.75 60 yard dash. Primary position IF displaying a good first step on ground balls with overall young actions. Foot work and glove are emerging tools that will continue to trend upward with maturity. Produced solid velocity of 73 mph across the diamond with consistent accurate throws. Worked out behind the plate as his secondary position using a significant side step with his lower body mechanics. Arm action was a bit long but again showed to be a future quality tool. With refinement of the delivery and overall strength development, tools behind the plate will steadily improve. Right handed hitter, using a neutral balanced set and high aggressive bat tilt for his trigger. Employs a line drive to pull side in the air approach and gets plenty of turn from the midsection. Can get a little early and rotational at times, creating some extra length in the swing. As with all other tools, will shorten swing path and generate even more power with maturity. Found the barrel well in game. Very good student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
