Carson Ray is a 2022 RHP with a 6-0 165 lb. frame from Vestavia Hills, AL who attends Vestavia Hills HS. Recorded a 7.62 second 60-yard dash time. Lean, physically projectable frame with lots of room for additional strength. Primary righthanded pitcher who only threw during the event. Longer arm stroke with a full arm circle and releases from an over the top arm slot. Hides the ball well and the fastball topped out at 81 mph. Lands the curveball effectively and showed 12/6 shape with some feel to manipulate it. Good feel for the straight changeup and likes throwing it; can throw it in any count. Lots of moving parts to the delivery and will be able to increase command with simpler mechanics. Good student.
