2023 Mid-Atlantic Indoor Showcase (Saturday)
Matthew McSorley is a 2025 C/ with a 5-11 175 lb. frame from Woolwich, NJ who attends Salesianum. Longer frame with good symmetry and a lot of room to add overall strength. Primary position C, with a significant offset start, going out to get the ball with clean directional footwork. Smooth glove work leading to nice midline transfer. Arm action is a touch longer that can improve with time but there is no doubting the arm strength. Accurate feeds on the bag with regularity peaking at 75 mph and a good pop time best of 2.07 seconds. Tools are here and will only get better with time. RHH working from a wider base, low handset and employing toe tap trigger to create timing. Gets off his backside and shows good strength at impact. When he stays on the ball and uses the middle of the field the ball jumps. Majority of contact was to the middle/pull side. Projects as an offensive backstop with ample tools in all facets, good follow here. Excellent student as well.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
