Nate Pallotta is a 2021 1B/OF with a 6-1 185 lb. frame from Stanhope, NJ who attends Pope John XXIII. Large, athletic frame with square shoulders and present strength to frame, additional room to fill throughout moving forward. Ran a 7.78 60-yard dash. Primary first baseman, moves well off the bag and shows clean actions with glove skill, maintains balance, shows accuracy on throws and carry across the diamond. Gets under the ball on throws from the outfield, some effort at release, works through the ball well, carry on throws will continue to develop. Righthanded hitter, begins with a closed start in the box with a high hand set and lower back elbow in the box; loads weight onto backside and can continue to implement additional lower half into swing. Long swing path through the zone, keeps hands inside the ball and looks to lift at the point of contact. Creates present bat speed through the zone, timing triggers to mechanics but shows jump off the barrel when squared, can shorten overall approach, carry off barrel play in live action. Very good student.
