Robert Payton Whitaker is a 2018 OF/LHP, 1B with a 5-11 180 lb. frame from Cocoa Beach, FL who attends Rockledge Senior HS. Medium frame with present physicality and strength proportioned well throughout the build. Recorded a 7.30 second 60-yard dash. Primary outfielder who rounds the ball well and shows clean glove actions. Throws get some carry with arm strength registered up to 81 mph. Secondary first baseman who made accurate throws from a full arm path. Solid fundamentals and overall skills while flashing his arm strength again. Secondary lefthanded pitcher with a long arm action and a three-quarter arm slot. Gets some extension down the mound and lands on a closed front toe. Slow-paced delivery up until the gather where he accelerates quickly down the mound. Worked primarily to the arm side with his fastball that was true in terms of life. Filled up the strike zone and showed three pitches. Lefthanded hitter with a toe tap trigger into the swing. Linear weight shift through the lower half and showed the ability to turn the barrel over well. High hand set with a high back elbow and showed fluidity throughout the path. Present bat speed with a power-pull side approach. Good student.
