Walker Strange is a 2022 3B/RHP with a 5-11 210 lb. frame from Knoxville, TN who attends Knoxville West. Large and athletic build, filled out physically with strength present in the lower half. Ran a 7.95 second 60 yard dash. Primary third baseman, worked out in the infield with soft hands funneling nicely into his body at gather, quick exchange, average arm strength across the diamond, developing footwork that could be cleaned up, topped out at 76 mph across the diamond. Secondary righthanded pitcher, coils at balance point unwinding down the mound, long arm action up to an over the top arm slot, creates good downward angle on fastball. Fastball shows cutting action that topped out at 78 mph, commanded the pitch to both sides of the plate, flashed a 12-to-6 curveball with late bite and tight spin. Switch hitter, from the right side swings with intent and a strong swing, looks to lift the ball into the air with a power approach, impacts the baseball with strength through contact. From the left side has less balance to the stroke with an ability to swing the bat and get the barrel to the baseball. Good student.
